RED EARTH - music video
2D + 3D Visual accompaniment to the work of Sound artist Mondegrin

Cinema 4D // After Effects // Premiere Pro
About Mondegrin: Unsettled break-beats, soundtracks to forgotten German teleplays, nursery rhymes and Soviet synths all come together to form the sound of Jack D'Arcy's solo project, Mondegrin.

Tying a love of obscure records and live instrumentation, they build a soundtrack to a world gone wrong.
Red Earth is one of the tracks within their newly released EP. As a visual designer I found this track particularly exciting to design for, marrying together the industrial revolution of Manchester with a constructivist visual appeal and a very strong motif of the colour red, emanating a chaotic yet harmonious piece with the music in which is was designed for. Some of the audio grafts originated from an old german TV series Rote Erde (Red Earth), this series was focused around a mining village which was taken into consideration when designing. The pairing of both 2D and 3D is a visual reflection to the decoupage style of the audio composition process in which Mondegrin goes through.
